Short but Oh So Sweet!

Little did I realise that this post title would come to mean so much more.
Some time this afternoon our poor little Milly was knocked down and killed. We don't know where exactly or the exact circumstances only that a woman saw it happen and took her to the local vet's.
The receptionist rang me up to tell me.  The woman didn't leave her name and I am so grateful to her for taking Milly there because at least we know she has not just been left by the side of the road.
So dear Milly your friends were not watching after you closely enough and we are all so sorry you are gone.

A short life but a happy one.

Someone watching over me.

Sometimes I wonder what Milly does when she goes out in the early hours.
It certainly tires her out for the rest of the day. It's a good job she has some attentive friends

Old phone photos

I got a new phone last week and when I was putting the old phone to rest I discovered some forgotten photographs on it - a shadow puppet workshop I did with an after school club, handbags from a graduate show - sorry can't remember the artist, Milly the cat and lastly Mr D's cat Pedro, such a lovable character and sadly no longer with us.

Lazy as a cat!!

I've been as lazy as a cat!!!
When you have your feet up you can still look at paint charts though and make plans.

Innocent or guilty?

This morning when I went out I discovered a little dead swallow/swift. Milly wasn't around at this particular time but I am afraid she has a criminal record, I am pleased when she kills rats - although not when she brought one into the house squeaking and I thought it was a field mouse, in trying to distract her she dropped it and it ran into the kitchen where it hid for 2 days before she finally got it. Needless to say I won't be making that mistake again.
