hmmmm!!!

Probably still got to fiddle about with it but looking more to my liking.

whew!!!!!!!

I am not a very technical minded person, when I first set up this blog I made a fairly basic heading as I was keen to get blogging. It was ok for a while but then as you do I got fed up with the look of it but had not had the time to do much about it. However when me and the weather were a bit under par at the beginning of the week I spent a huge amount of time playing around in photoshop to make a new heading. I wish photoshop had exsisted when I was working in graphic design I just love it !!!!!!!
Hope you have a good weekend. I am working in the morning but then I'm going to see the Tissington welldressings and also visit some of the artists showing work here

A bit under the weather

I was laid low over the weekend with a horrible cold and spent most of Sunday in bed listening to the radio. Milly kept me company, lying at the end of the bed.
By Monday I was ready for some fresh air and a little retail therapy in the form of a few charity shops and some window shopping, and of course some coffee and cake.
On the way home as we drove down country lanes it was raining very heavily and we saw a rainbow, but by the time i got my camera out I had missed the best view of it.

Innocent or guilty?

This morning when I went out I discovered a little dead swallow/swift. Milly wasn't around at this particular time but I am afraid she has a criminal record, I am pleased when she kills rats - although not when she brought one into the house squeaking and I thought it was a field mouse, in trying to distract her she dropped it and it ran into the kitchen where it hid for 2 days before she finally got it. Needless to say I won't be making that mistake again.

Well dressing design approved....

I finally finished the design for the well dressing I am doing in a couple of weeks at the Honey bee Festival. I don't do so much illustration anymore and find it a bit of a struggle to "get my hand in" The design had to reflect the theme of the festival and I was going to offer 2 designs to choose from, but in the end I only had time to do one , which luckily was well recieved. I scanned it into Photoshop so I can start playing around with different colours. See my earlier posts 31st March and 1st April if you want to know a bit more about welldressing and what it involves

Raining again

Well what more would we expect, it is after all Bank Holiday Monday!!!! Can't get motivated. Not that there is nothing to do.
I have sewing I could do.
I have sorting out the mess in my spare room/storage for all art materials I could do.
I should go and look for replacement glass for my greenhouse door which fell over and smashed yesterday when it was nice weather and i was in the garden.
I should also be trying to set up the scanner so I can scan and finish off an image of a design I have been asked to do for a well dressing at the end of May, but I can't find the right lead and my computor guru has gone to ply squash with one of his mates.
Maybe I shall stay in bed and read this book

Or bake this cake - not while I'm still in bed of course.

Or make this shorter
