Charity shop "Treasure"

Some things I found earlier this week:
yet another garment for the new baby......I tell you they are going to have to change her outfits at least 3 times a day to get the wear out of the mountain of clothes my mum, sister and I have gathered, not to mention anyone else's contributions. This is an irresistible little GAP baby coat, herringbone patterned velvet with flowery quilted lining.
and some technical and craft books with very nice illustrations and good clear instructions.

CUT + PASTE

I made this bunting last week for Valentine's day. There's nothing I like better than cutting paper.......
My sister and I used to spend hours playing with paper cutout dolls....... I wish I'd kept them.

Old phone photos

I got a new phone last week and when I was putting the old phone to rest I discovered some forgotten photographs on it - a shadow puppet workshop I did with an after school club, handbags from a graduate show - sorry can't remember the artist, Milly the cat and lastly Mr D's cat Pedro, such a lovable character and sadly no longer with us.

Something to wear & Something to do.

Off to spend a few days visiting family in Glasgow................ going to wear this colourful necklace on New Years eve.
Want to have something to do............... which means looking through my wool stash and finding a suitable project. This or maybe this at http://www.knitrowan.com/free-projects.aspx  or something like this fun project over at http://caffaknitted.typepad.com

Winter woollies

Have managed at last to knit up a small amount of the charity shop stash which is threatening to take over the house. Next thing I need to do is make up some of the fabric I've accumulated. I could do with this book for Christmas.
It clearlly is too exhausting for some of us though!!!!

Typical bank holiday weather

It's been raining cats and dogs today and I had wanted to go in the garden!!!

I have been rearranging a space for my work area - moving furniture up and down stairs, it's not finished yet I want to put a shelf and the bulletin board up that I bought last week.I am also making a cushion out of an old pillow and some fabric from my vintage fabric collection. I spent far too much time choosing which fabric to use and wether to make a patchwork cushion or not.

Best time of the day
